The Margin Enquiry report page enables you to view the Margin Enquiry report quickly and easily. You can add filters to the Margin Enquiry and generate reports on your sales and credit lines. Additionally, you can view the turnover and profits depending on the filters you have applied. The Margin Enquiry report has several filters at the top of the page and simply press the Run button when required. You can sort the orders and credits based on date periods, product groups and anything else on this page.

The Margin Enquiry report is really useful for working out what products or sales person(s) is making you the most profit.
You can access the Margin Enquiry report via Sales | Margin Enquiry.
Depending on what sort of information you require, you can enter the relevant criteria and then click Run at the top on the banner.
You can also export what you see to several different formats such as pdf, xls and .xlsx using the Export button on the banner.
Using the tool bar above the grid, you can do several other things to the information shown in the grid.

To group by a desired column you simply need to drag and drop it into toolbar above the grid. As soon as you drop it the grid will group everything based on that column. You can group by as many columns as you like and expand all or collapse all the groups under the More menu.
To set up multiple views of this report you just need to click New on the toolbar and give it a name after making any customizations. You can create as many views as you like and also choose a default which will be displayed when you first click on the report.
Using the Hidden Columns button you can choose what columns are shown on the grid and where. To add or remove a column, simply drag and drop the columns you like to and from the Hidden columns box.
You can easily export your report to PDF (default), CSV, XLSC or XLS for best reporting. To do so;
To select the option you want, click the Export arrow on right of button to provide you the options.
If you click on Export itself, it will default to the PDF setting, and a PDF is generated.

The Margin Enquiry report page provides you with the ability to work out sales commission and only include completed sales orders.
You can work out sales commission by using the Margin Enquiry filters. For instance, you can run a report using the Salesperson field as a filter.
Sales persons can be assigned to a customer and marked on a sales order directly. You can do this simply by selecting an assigned sales person, who is responsible for that sales order (Settings|Sales person). This is useful for a business requiring reporting on total sales by sales person for commission calculation.
